The Modular Chest Rig-Kit Bag GEN2 by FullTang Tactical is one of the most versatile pieces of gear you will ever find - truly blurring the lines between bushcraft and tactical. Whether you are hiking, hunting, fishing, or running tactical drills - this kit fully converts from a hiking day pack, to a stand-alone chest rig, to a placard for a plate carrier on the fly because of the built-in rear kangaroo pocket opening.
With our latest version (GEN2), we removed the small loop panel (now sold as an accessory for ID patches) on the front and replaced with extra rows of laser-cut MOLLE to make it more slick and functionally universal. Believe it or not, there is a science behind the H-shaped design which provides a rigid geometric structure to the bag while allowing it to flex just the right amount at specific points. We also lined the entire inside walls with velvet-like plush loop Velcro and now provide an Organizer Pocket Insert as an accessory (sold separately), allowing greater customization.
The shoulder harness is upgraded to include padding around the edges for extra comfort and abrasion resistance.
There is an adjustable/removable paracord retention system on both sides of the interior walls to keep the bag from opening all the way and to hang lanyards.
Made with the highest quality mil-spec, Berry Compliant materials such as 500D Laminate CORDURA® fabric, YKK waterproof zippers, self-locking paracord zipper ties, and ITW buckles, this chest rig/kit bag will last a lifetime of use and abuse.
Our chest rig-kit bag is currently being used by active-duty military and tested at TUSC (Tactical Urban Sustainment Course) for its durability and sustainment capabilities. It is utilized by outdoor enthusiasts in challenging environments where having top-of-the-line gear matters most. The kit allows you to insert a wide-range of magazine inserts that have Loop Velcro on the front and Hook Velcro on the back behind the main bag against your body. The kit also has plush velvet-like wide Loop Velcro lining covering the entire inside of the bag so you can attach a variety of EDC or mission specific pouches with Hook Velcro on the back - or our proprietary inserts.

The idea behind our Modular Chest Rig-Kit Bag bag is to allow for easy transfer of mission essentials quickly and easily. For example, you can wear it as a normal kit bag while carrying your mag inserts in your patrol pack, and if the mission changes, you can easily drop one of the triple mag inserts into the rear kangaroo pocket so it sits against your body and distributes the extra weight perfectly. If the mission calls for a heavier loadout, you can slap the kit bag onto a plate carrier in seconds to use as a fully loaded out placard.
The shoulder harness can be folded up into a small roll and stuffed in the kit bag while transporting it in a backpack or luggage. It can be attached to the front of a backpack such as our Minuteman Pack with buckles or even used as a large pouch inside of a rucksack. The kit bag is low profile, yet roomy, and allows for insane amounts of expansion with added accessories.
