Antithesis™ Plate Carrier

Antithesis™ is unlike any other plate carrier system on the market. Instead of being restricted to a fully assembled, costly, bulky vest, Antithesis breaks traditional barriers by integrating with our chest rig ecosystem and providing insane levels of modularity at a more efficient cost in the long run than owning dedicated body armor and chest rig systems separately.

With direct feedback from SOF soldiers, we have developed a solution that is unmatched in adaptability, modularity, expandability, comfort, and durability. Our built-in plate bag FLEX™ System and adjustable flap allows the end-user to swap between medium and large SAPI/ESAPI plates without having to purchase a different carrier. Antithesis holds either sized plates securely without any movement or flop whatsoever inside the sleeves.

Antithesis is sold in its base configuration as front and rear plate bags only and can be built out depending on user preference. You can utilize our H-harness without any additional hardware needed if you already own one of our chest rigs, or you can purchase dedicated articulating Antithesis Shoulder Straps separately.

Zip-on adapters are available to purchase for compatibility with various assault panels, as well as our Antithesis Cummerbund and quick-release shoulder strap functions. Foam pontoon inserts attach to our moisture-wicking softshell plate covers that slide into the plate bags under the mesh panel for additional comfort.

Seasonal/Environmental Adaptability

• Cold Weather Superiority: Spacer mesh is a massive liability in freezing or snowy conditions. The 3D open pockets act like a trap for ice, slush, and freezing mud. Once frozen, it becomes an abrasive, stiff board against your body. To solve this problem, we are using a flat 2D knit that cannot trap snow or ice. Leaving the permanent mesh lining flat means your plate carrier will sit incredibly low-profile in the winter when you are already wearing bulky cold-weather layers or parkas while still maintaining proper ventilation with natural standoff from curved SAPI plates.
• True Hydrophobic Performance: Brookwood Omega™ is treated with Brookwood-ZERO™ DWR (Durable Water Repellent). Combined with its 100% 250-Denier polyester composition, it absorbs virtually zero moisture and sheds water instantly. We are using this mesh combined with a single layer of 1500D water-repellent tactical nylon, creating a nearly complete hydrophobic construction for maritime operations. 
• The Hot Weather Advantage: While operating in hot/humid environments, shedding moisture is critical in reducing fatigue. To turn Antithesis into a champion in warmer climates, we have developed an insert that sits under the 2D mesh panel and consists of perforated foam pontoons wrapped in 3D mesh on both sides. The pontoons attach to our removable plate covers with hook and loop, creating an air channel in the middle while properly dissipating heat through the layered holes of mesh and foam. This method completely eliminates any entrapment of heat or moisture between the body and plates.

Many other carriers on the market are plagued with excess materials that add weight and improperly sized bags that create slop, some of them compensating the slack with complex compression systems that do nothing but add unnecessary cost, bulk, and weight to your loadout while creating risk of seam blowouts and pre-mature deterioration.

Problems Solved by Antithesis: 

• Cost: Most people who own a plate carrier also own a corresponding chest rig system, independent from their carrier. This doubles the expense of owning both platforms. Antithesis solves this problem because it is built to use our chest rig shoulder harness, allowing the user to save literally half the cost of owning a traditional carrier plus an independent chest rig. 
• Durability: Most carriers on the market are improperly built for the task they are intended for, using thin materials for the main bags. Thus, we have designed the Antithesis with lightweight but extremely durable 1500 laminated tactical nylon material, eliminating seams that blow out with hard use.
• Modularity: Our platform can be broken down into different configurations based on end-user needs and mission requirements. Quickly attach the Antithesis plate bags to our chest rig shoulder harness and simply remove them when they are not needed. For a more permanent configuration, the harness can be locked into place using our proprietary metal slotted loop hardware. We also provide a traditional shoulder strap system that can be attached to both plate bags with quick-release abilities and adjustability.
• Weight: In today's battle field, agility can be the antithesis between life and death. You have to be stealthy, quick on your feet, and able to move rapidly when necessary. Overly complex plate carriers bog down the soldier, which puts the entire unit at risk. Antithesis weighs a fraction of what other carriers weigh without compromising on features or durability.
