Antithesis™ Plate Carrier

Antithesis™ is unlike any other plate carrier system on the market. Instead of being restricted to a fully assembled, costly, bulky vest, Antithesis breaks traditional barriers by integrating with our chest rig ecosystem and providing insane levels of modularity at a more efficient cost in the long run than owning dedicated body armor and chest rig systems separately.

Antithesis can be purchased as front/rear plate bags only or as a full plate carrier bundle.

Front/Rear Plate Bags Only: Front and rear plate bags that integrate with our chest rig shoulder harness, cummerbunds, and other accessories sold separately. This option saves money if you already own our chest rig system or plan to buy one. It includes both plate bags, side straps, and adjustment capabilities when attaching to our shoulder harness. This is the most minimalistic setup and other components can be added on separately as necessary.  

Full Plate Carrier Bundle: Includes front and rear plate bags, shoulder harness, shoulder pads, body pad set, adjustment capabilities, side straps, and MOLLE placard. This configuration is slightly discounted when purchased as a bundle and includes everything needed to get started if you don't already own one of our chest rigs. 

The bags are designed to carry either medium or large SAPI/ESAPI plates provided by our built-in flex method and adjustable flap. Antithesis holds either sized plates securely without any movement or flop whatsoever inside the sleeves. Many other carriers on the market are plagued with excess material and improperly sized bags, some of them compensating the slack with complex compression systems that do nothing but add unnecessary bulk and weight to your loadout.

The Antithesis platform has the same built-in features as other carriers, such as cable routing, placard attachment, laser-cut PALS/MOLLE, etc. but precisely laser cut into the design without having to add extra materials or stitching. It is also more durable for these reasons, and instead of using 500D fabric, we are using 1500D laminated nylon material that withstands abuse.

If you already own one of our chest rigs, the bags seamlessly integrate with the shoulder H-harness and allow adjustment for the perfect fit. This allows you to add armor to your existing rig without having to swap over your loadouts from a separate dedicated carrier.

If you do not yet own one of our chest rigs and just want to start preparing a modular carrier system and add to it later, the Antithesis can be built out individually by purchasing the shoulder harness and additional padding for personalized customization. All of our chest rig pouches and other placards on the market attach to the front plate bag, and the rear bag is compatible with zip-on panels and MOLLE systems. Essentially, building out the Antithesis from scratch turns it into an insanely comfortable and feature-packed plate carrier, but with the modularity that other carrier systems simply do not possess. 

The ability to swap your kit from plate carrier mode to chest rig configuration on the fly not only saves the end user money, but provides mission-critical support without having to carry extra bulk and gear on a separate plate carrier. Run the full Antithesis system for direct action/CQB where personal protection is priority, or toss the plate bags aside and run the kit in chest rig mode within seconds for situations that don't require an extra level of protection.

This system is perfect for E&E (escape and evade) scenarios where you might need to bug out of a war zone with an extra level of protection until you reach a safety point, then ditch your carrier quickly without having to remove your chest rig when you reach a more rural area and need to be more agile for mountainous terrain. The ability to swap between configurations on the fly without removing your personal protective tools/equipment from your body can be a priceless life-saving feature.

Premium MIL-SPEC, Berry Compliant materials are utilized throughout the Antithesis with reinforced bartack stitching at critical stress points. Modularity is packed into this vest allowing it to transform from a slick setup into a full loadout. It can be used in conjunction with our chest rigs and PiggyBack Pack, along with other placards and plate carrier packs on the market.

Antithesis has the ability to attach our H-harness which allows the user to drop their plate bags quickly, but still have a full chest rig loadout without all the extra bulk of wearing straps on top of straps. This feature can be valuable for reconnaissance missions where switching between plate carrier and chest rig setups is achieved in seconds without having to remove and reattach all of your gear. 

We thought, "a plate carrier is basically just a chest rig with two bags that hold plates, so why not combine the two systems into a modular interchangeable platform?" Hence, the Antithesis is unlike anything else on the market - spearheading an ethos of modularity by crossing previous boundaries of life-saving, personal protection equipment.

Problems Solved by Antithesis: 

1. Cost: Most people who own a plate carrier also own a corresponding chest rig system, independent from their carrier. This doubles the expense of owning both platforms. Antithesis solves this problem because it is built to use our chest rig shoulder harness, allowing the user to save literally half the cost of owning a traditional carrier plus an independent chest rig. 
2. Durability: Most carriers on the market are improperly built for the task they are intended for, using thin materials such as Tweave/softshell for the bag and 500D fabrics for the outer shell. While both of these materials are great for a lot of purposes, we do not believe plate carriers is one of them. Thus, we have designed the Antithesis with 1500 laminated nylon material that is 3x more durable than other fabrics used on most carriers. With the elimination of seams and subpar construction, Antithesis is a force to be reckoned with.
3. Modularity: With our platform, the shoulder harness is the base and brings together everything as a one-piece system that can be broken down into different configurations based on end-user needs and mission requirements. Quickly attach the Antithesis plate bags to the shoulder harness and simply remove them when they are not needed. It's that simple. 
4. Weight: In today's battle field, agility can be the difference between life and death. You have to be stealthy, quick on your feet, and able to move quickly when necessary. Overly complex plate carriers bog down the individual, which puts the entire team at risk in a lot of scenarios. Antithesis weighs literally half of what other carriers weigh without skimping on features or durability. The intelligent design and engineering behind this platform was not lightly regarded (no pun intended).

During the American Revolution, body armor was almost non-existent for soldiers because it was useless against muskets. When used, it was generally called a cuirass (steel breastplate) for cavalry or a gorget (neck armor) for officers. Some soldiers occasionally used heavy, outdated 17th-century armor, but they were usually abandoned due to weight constraints and inefficiency.

Thus, we bring you the Antithesis, a distinct lightweight opponent to heavy armor systems worn by soldiers of the past and even today. Antithesis means something that is the direct opposite of something else or different, and in today’s modern battlefield, speed and agility can be the difference (antithesis) between life and death.

Many carriers today are still plagued by overly-complicated designs with heavy fabrics that add additional weight to the armor they are carrying. With Antithesis, we have eliminated unnecessary bulk through intelligent design and careful planning while still harnessing superior comfort. The system has cable-routing built in and adaptable features that even the more complex, expensive systems on the market do not even possess or execute effectively.
