The B.A.R. Frame Set includes the Fortitude Pack Frame with shoulder straps, hip belt, back pads, grab handle, load lifters, and compressions strap connection points made by FullTang Tactical in collaboration with Frontier Resolve. All of our ALICE-compatible packs/rucksacks will fit and attach to this frame set in seconds. This is everything you need to swap out different bags on the fly.
A unique feature of this frame set is the ability to secure items between the frame and the main pack bag, allowing you to carry rifles, tools, meat, or other heavy/bulky items close to the body simultaneously with your sustainment gear. The frame set can also be used as a stand-alone load hauler by attaching the M.U.L.E. Carrier or using the frame as a packboard for lashing straps through the slots.
Constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, the Fortitude Frame is curved to match the shape of your back and has just enough flex to allow natural body movement. It is low profile, yet extremely rigid, far exceeding the military specs of issued plastic frames.
The frame is ALICE revolutionized and capable of carrying over 250 lbs. of weight (although we would never recommend it), and will not break or crack unlike other frames on the market. Polymer frames are notorious for cracking over time with abuse or in cold climates, but the Fortitude Frame is virtually indestructible regardless of the environment.
With FullTang's pad set, this frame is incredibly comfortable and truly feels like you are carrying an internal-frame pack, but with external-frame capabilities. At only 1/8" thick compared to plastic frames that are almost 1" thick, it keeps your ruck closer to the body for a more balanced and comfortable load. Coming in at only 2 lbs., it is still comparable in weight to its polymer counterparts.
After multiple 30-foot and 60-foot drop tests, the Fortitude Pack Frame exhibited no signs of failure, rivets, or hinges due to its monolithic design.
