The PiggyBack Pack is designed to attach to our chest rig-kit bag Shoulder Harness while capable of carrying 3L (100 oz.) water bladders up to 15" tall and 10" wide, comms equipment, body armor, or other gear. It can lay nearly flat at only 5" deep but has plenty of room for a bladder, armor plate, jacket, and other items.
Small but packed with modularity, this is the ONLY pack on the market that expands from 12L (750 cu. in.) to 24L+, connects to plate carriers/large rucks, or transforms into a standalone daypack. By adding our accessory pouches and beavertail, you can carry quite a bit of extra gear if the need arises depending on your mission.
It has laser-cut MOLLE on the back panel for attaching to plate carriers or adding our back pads if using the pack without armor. It integrates perfectly with our chest rig-kit bag shoulder harness so it can be worn as a complete one-piece rig or used as a standalone EDC/day pack.
With a new and improved harness attachment system, the harness truly becomes part of the pack and seems like it was hard-stitched in. There is virtually no movement or flimsy buckles/G-hooks to deal with. Simply slip the harness up into the sleeve, and it becomes a backpack.
While pairing the PiggyBack with one of our chest rigs, the load is evenly distributed between the two bags, creating an unmatched comfort level rarely seen with chest rig setups.
There is a front zippered admin pocket that runs the full length of the bag with laser-cut PALS/MOLLE for attaching additional gear. Lashing loops all over the pack make it extremely versatile for running shock/bungee cord and attaching the PiggyBack to larger packs or plate carriers. Our larger packs all have removable compression straps that seamlessly integrate directly with the PiggyBack, or the straps can be purchased separately.
The internal sleeve contains a removable 1/4" thick stiff foam panel for structure and extra comfort. The bag is designed with a hydration/comms port at the top.
Versatility:
The PiggyBack Pack V2 transforms from a small 12L day pack to a 24L+ assault/day pack by using our accessory pouches and beavertail.
Connect one of our chest rigs-kit bags to the front, and you have either a perfectly balanced hiking setup, or a battle-ready loadout. Add our optional shoulder pads and back pads for even more comfort and ventilation.
Use the optional PB-MOLLE straps, and connect the bag to a plate carrier, or wear the entire rig over your armor and have the ability to swing the PiggyBack around to your front side when you need to access your gear.
Attach the PiggyBack to the front of any of our larger rucks by using the compression straps. Drop the ruck at basecamp and take the PiggyBack on short hikes using our compact shoulder harness.
We are using Berry Compliant materials for the construction of this pack, such as 500D/1000D nylon, YKK zippers, and laminates.
NOTE: This pack is sold in its base configuration allowing the end user to customize it to their specific needs. Shoulder harness, pads, straps, pouches, and other accessories are all sold separately.
