The Woodsman™ Chest Pack is slightly larger than our original chest rigs-kit bags with a dedicated rear concealment pouch. With two main pouches and a front stretchy pocket, the rig has plenty of room for a day hike to carry all of your essentials.

Starting at the front of the main pouch, there are two rows of laser-cut skeletonized PALS/MOLLE webbing grids with shock cord holes for attaching gear. We placed a stretch nylon pocket between the grids to hold items such as cell phones, fishing tackle, EDC equipment, and game calls for silent retrieval while in the woods.

Inside the main zippered compartment, there is plush loop Velcro lined on both walls for attaching hook-backed inserts with an adjustable paracord retention system to keep the pouch from opening all the way.

Behind the main compartment is a divider with an additional zipper for dedicated conceal carry. What's unique about this compartment is the built-in grippy HANK (Hypalon) quick-draw pull tabs on both corners for right or left-handed rapid deployment. When not in use, the pull tabs can be tucked inside the pouch and used as connection points for lanyards.

The back interior wall is lined with plush loop Velcro for attaching hook-backed holsters or inserts, and the adjacent wall has 3 built-in organizer pockets with additional elastic sleeves, allowing carry of up to three .308 or .223 mags inside the bag. This means you can carry up to 6 mags simultaneously while using the rear kangaroo pocket with an insert.

The rear kangaroo pocket houses modular inserts with a full passthrough at the bottom for hanging dangler pouches and a removable rear mesh panel. There is an additional laminated PALS/MOLLE grid with shock cord holes underneath the bag for attaching knives, bear spray cans, water bottles, ponchos, etc.

Lastly, the Woodsman Chest Pack includes the same shoulder harness used on all of our rigs and is compatible with all of our accessories for a complete modular system. It can attach to plate carriers or be used as a fanny pack using the included waist strap.

Simply the Best Chest Packs on the Market

"The Woodsman is my very first product from FullTang Tactical. It feels like the Mercedes of all Chest Packs. It's quality is stunning and Made in the US and in Tennessee just caps it all! It is perfect for hiking and backpacking. I can also have self defense right at hand with the beautiful concealed CCW compartment at the rear. And then using the dividers and the kangaroo pocket insert I have so many places to insert all my medical and useful tools for hiking. The stretchy pocket on the front I use for my phone. It has already made it through heavy rain with nothing inside getting wet. The quality of the materials are just amazing. The waterproof zippers and the durable military grade components are the best I have ever seen, and a pleasure to use. Every detail has been thought through in so much detail, from the pulls on the zippers to the kangaroo panel on the back for strength and comfort. It is so comfortable carried using the shoulder straps, but the piece de resistance is the modularity to connect to the back packs and able to share and supplement components across all other packs. . . what an amazing way of hiking in comfort, spreading the load between chest pack and back pack. . . . with urgent items close at hand, with a knife, gun and binoculars all easily reached. I have also added body armor into the back of the Woodsman. This is possible in several ways. . . an 8. 5 inch x 5. 5 inch flexible plate can fit inside a kangaroo pocket that can be attached to the back of the chest pack, the kangaroo back panel can also just hold it in place by itself or it can just be inserted in the same rear compartment beside your hand gun. I've used a Velcro holster attachment to hold my S&W M&P 9mm Shield easily. A full size handgun will also fit. I've even fitted a 6. 75 inch fixed blade knife diagonally in the front compartment and it also fits a 5 inch A G Russell Chute Knife horizontally and easily in the front compartment inside its leather sheath. I will shortly try attaching 6-7 inch fixed blade knives to the bottom of the pack. Since this order I have also got the Pioneer Chest Pack which is also great, and also the Piggyback and Minuteman Packs, and many, many accessories. They are all amazing. The quality is just stunning! You will never regret a FullTang Tactical order! The forest green color is perfect for the Appalachian trails and the Georgia forests"

American Quality

"I recently purchased a Woodsman Chest Pack to replace a cheap piece of Chinese crap from Amazon (buckles slip, zippers break) that's on me. I also have a Hill People Medium Kit pack/bag (good pack but smaller and the harness is less than desirable). I interchanged these packs every so often, but I wear one every day walking around the city, so I need my gear handy and the pack workable. I wanted a US made quality chest pack a bit larger for a few added items. This pack fit the bill, so I bought it. My inspection and subsequent fitment revealed an extremely well made quality pack, from the materials to the thoughts on storage. The harness system equalizes my load (3-5#'s) and is comfortable, the materials are high quality, the zippers are heavy duty, attachment point are plentiful. It's just well constructed. I trek 7-8 miles a day daily with a chest pack, and I'm looking forward to wearing this pack as my EDC. Quality stuff, I don't care about the cost, I want it to last and work when I need it."
